Encounter is an immersive audio experience blending powerful storytelling with authentic soundscapes. The latest work by Cadence Chung—published poet, composer, and classical vocalist, Encounter is crafted with Chung’s signature poetic narratives, taking audiences on a journey to rediscover Wellington through the eyes of those who helped shape its history and continue contributing to its future.
Part of the Six Degrees Festival in collaboration with the BATS theatre, Encounter is a Te Herenga Waka -Victoria University of Wellington postgraduate production created by a team of Chinese New Zealand creatives, who felt compelled to tell their stories.
