The term encaustic means “to heat or burn in”. Create art with melted wax and pigment.About this Event
Encaustic art is made through a process of painting with wax on a wood substrate which is then fused through a heat source, such as a hair dryer or torch.
In this workshop series, we will explore this medium using watercolor, incising tools, and oil paint sticks.
This series will run for three 1.5 hour sessions. This class will be led by Tara Helser, who has her Bachelors of Fine Art.
