Encaustic Painting (hot wax painting) involves heated wax medium to which you may add colored pigments. Acrylic underpainting or collage MAY begin the process, along with many other mixed medium techniques.
This is a full day workshop of the Encaustic painting process and techniques. If you are curious about Encaustics but want to try it our first before investing in the equipment and materials, then join us to learn by hands-on experience the Encaustic process. We will do a group encaustic for discovery and experience and then complete an individual Encaustic Painting of your own to take home.
*Pre-registration is required for Art School classes; classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be registered ONLY on receipt of payment.
