Enameled Accessories

Coming up on Sunday June 28th at The Crucible a Jewelry Class that is part metalsmithing AND part enameling. Enameled Accessories listed under Jewelry, this one day class from 10 to 6pm is good for beginners and great for students with experience in Enameling or Jewelry. You will create at least two pieces. Shown are pieces from this past Spring's class.
On the Jewelry side students learn basic metal smithing techniques, including annealing, hammering, texturing, stamping, using shears, disc cutters, and filing to create your own designs in copper; there is no sawing involved. For the Enamel half of the class you will learn counter enamel, learn about opaque & transparent enamels. students will work with stencils, learn sgraffito, and fire your pieces in a kiln. Creating personalized pins, pendants, earrings, magnets or ornaments with color!
