During this workshop, we'll be making 2 pairs of enamel earrings (keep one, gift one!)- whether it's a full on festive theme you're after, or something you can wear all year round - this is sure to add a splash of colour to the festivities in the run up to Christmas!
You'll be making 2 pairs of copper earrings with silver ear wires, and enamelling them with a huge selection of transparent and opaque enamels. You might like to try sgraffito to create really beautiful, unique and intricate patterns on your enamel, or perhaps you just want to create something entirely simple for your first go. However adventurous you're feeling, you'll be able to give it a go and leave with 2 lovely pairs of enamelled earrings.
Enamelling is a superbly fun way of making colourful jewellery and every single piece is unique!
You'll have the opportunity to cut out four shapes in copper sheet from a selection of stars, hearts, ovals, circles squares etc. or you can simply choose from a selection of pre-cut copper blanks to make things simple. Likewise, I'll guide you through making your own sterling silver ear wires or you can choose from a selection of pre-made ear wires.
*An upgrade option to sterling silver earrings is available. Copper works well with enamelling, and is a good value alternative to sterling silver, particularly for dangly earrings where the copper doesn't touch the skin. Sterling silver ear wires will always be used which are nickel free. However, if you prefer to use sterling silver for every part of the earring then please choose the upgrade option!
