Empty Bowls is a grassroots project that began in the pottery community in the early 90s out of a desire to end the hunger crisis. It has existed in one form or another since then, with potters from all over the world making and selling bowls to donate funds to soup kitchens, food pantries, and other organizations working to feed hungry people.
Midlands Clay Arts Society is hosting our Empty Bowls event at Soda City on September 21st, 2024. Bowls from our incredibly talented artists will be for sale for just $20 per bowl. All proceeds collected will be donated to Harvest Hope Food Bank, a local organization working to end hunger and feed the hungry people of the Midlands.
