Empowering Youth of Color Open Mic

We invite you to join us for the second Empowering Youth of Color Open Mic at La Peña Cultural Center in Berkeley, CA, where we dedicate a space to uplift the voices and talents of young BIPOC, women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and all those whose stories have historically been marginalized. This evening is more than just performances; it's a powerful opportunity to hear, support, and transform our community together.

Prepare for a night filled with live music, powerful poetry, captivating spoken word, a DJ spinning our favorite songs, and a deep sense of community solidarity. We’re here to foster an intergenerational arts community that sparks positive change and centers the voices of our youth.

Want to Perform?

We encourage young artists of color (under 24 years old) to share their talents—5-minute slots are available. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned performer, we’re here to support and cheer you on.

Volunteer With Us:
