Saif Hakim is an experienced leader in commercial, community, and Islamic finance with a strong commitment to empowering underserved and underrepresented communities while supporting the growth of small businesses. Throughout his career, he has championed innovative financing solutions and strategic partnerships that expand access to capital for entrepreneurs who have traditionally been underserved by conventional financial institutions.
At Craft3, Saif leads the development and implementation of pioneering Shari'a (Islamic)-compliant business financing products, helping create inclusive financial solutions that meet the unique needs of diverse communities. Over the past six years, he and his team have worked to advance and standardize Islamic business financing nationwide through partnerships with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Minority Depository Institutions (MDIs), credit unions, banks, and community organizations.
Craft3 is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to building a thriving, just, and empowered Pacific Northwest. The organization provides responsible loans to people, businesses, and communities that may not qualify for traditional financing, working alongside banks and community partners across Washington and Oregon to expand economic opportunity and help entrepreneurs succeed.
