About this Event
The MTS Sickle Cell Foundation, in partnership with Pfizer, NEXT ICR Foundation, and Randomize Now, invites healthcare providers to participate in a dynamic, expert-led educational experience designed to strengthen clinical knowledge and improve outcomes for individuals living with sickle cell disease.
This multi-site initiative will be delivered in both Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois, with options for in-person and virtual attendance.

Dr. Sheehan is an internationally recognized expert in sickle cell disease with extensive experience in clinical trials, translational research, and patient care across the lifespan.
What Youβll Learn
This program is designed to equip providers with practical, evidence-based tools to improve care delivery for patients with sickle cell disease.
Participants will engage in:
- Evidence-based guidelines for SCD management
- Acute and chronic complication management (including pain, infection, and organ health)
- Hydroxyurea and disease-modifying therapies
- Emerging and novel therapies, including gene therapy
- Case-based learning and real-world clinical scenarios
- Referral pathways and multidisciplinary care coordination
- Patient and provider perspectives
These sessions are specifically designed to support internists, family medicine providers, med-peds physicians, and advanced practice providers in delivering high-quality, accessible sickle cell care.
