About this Event
Join us for a dynamic and practical half-day training session designed to equip safeguarding, pastoral, and leadership staff with the confidence and tools to address casual racism in school settings.
Led by expert facilitators from the PSHE Education Service and Education Safeguarding, this session brings together deep experience in education, equity, and child protection.
What to expect:
✅ Interactive and hands-on learning – not just theory, but real-world strategies you can apply immediately
✅ Collaborative discussions – share experiences and learn from peers across Staffordshire
✅ Practical tools and frameworks – to support safer, more inclusive school environments
You’ll leave with the ability to:
- Recognise casual racism – how it manifests in everyday school life
- Identify and assess its impact on pupils, staff, and the wider school culture
- Respond effectively – challenge safely and constructively, whether it’s a peer, pupil, or parent/carer
- Create safer spaces – embed anti-racist practice into safeguarding and pastoral systems and within the curriculum
Who is it for?
This training is tailored for professionals working in safeguarding, pastoral care, or leadership roles in primary and secondary education settings across Staffordshire.
Spaces are limited, so early booking is encouraged. Let’s work together to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and supported in our schools.
