About the speaker:
Carl Luft is the President of TELLUS, an air quality data company specializing in cost-effective sensor networks and solutions that empower Smart City initiatives. Carl has successfully led international growth efforts, expanding into over 20 countries
across various industries.
Carl earned his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Utah and completed an Executive MBA program there in 2023. With experience in venture capital and entrepreneurship, Carl has worked with early-stage companies to
increase market share and develop innovative products. His recent work includes advancing medical devices for respiratory healthcare, tackling illnesses such as COPD, asthma, and COVID-19. In recognition of his achievements, Carl was awarded
the President’s “E” Award by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce for helping Utah companies expand into foreign markets.
Carl’s current focus is driving the adoption of TELLUS technologies within the growing Smart City ecosystem, improving air quality monitoring and data interpretation to create healthier, more sustainable urban environments.
Outside of his professional ventures, Carl enjoys an active lifestyle filled with rock climbing, skiing, dirt biking, camping, and occasionally fixing things that aren’t broken on his Jeep.
