Jennifer R. Leal, an American Indian descendant from the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada, founded the Field of Tribal Courts (FOTC). Jennifer will share her unique journey in establishing FOTC, offering insights into choosing a business idea that aligns passion with talent and addressing the challenges she faced as a Tribal Court Consultant. This presentation complements Lindsey's legal guidance by providing a real-world example of business evolution, highlighting how entrepreneurs can navigate setbacks and achieve recognition in their fields.
Lindsey S. Mignano, cofounder of SSM, assists her business clients with business formation, expansion, M&A, and venture financing. She will present a comprehensive overview of the legal structures available to emerging and small businesses. From LLCs to C Corporations, Lindsey will discuss the key considerations for entrepreneurs, including financing, taxation and QSBS concerns, liability, and corporate formalities.
