Join us for an evening of food, fun and celebration in support of LSI’s Immigrant and Refugee Community Services! The annual Empower dinner raises funds to Welcome, Empower and Impact those new to the U.S. and Iowa.We are thrilled to announce our Keynote speaker, Caitlin Dickerson, former NPR and NY Times reporter and current Atlantic Staff writer. Dickerson is an award-winning investigative reporter, telling stories of outstanding strength from the front lines of the world’s refugee crisis. She has spent years covering vulnerable communities and breaking stories that have led to positive change.
