About this Event
IWSI America, a 501(c)(3) non-profit funded by the California Department of Rehabilitation, helps employers by providing workforce solutions that build skills, unlock talent pools, fill vacancies, and strengthen retention before gaps appear - free to the employer.
Join IWSI America for a dynamic employer session designed to help businesses build a consistent pipeline of work-ready candidates and strengthen their workforce for the future.
Ready, Willing, and Able (RWA) Apprenticeships is a statewide program that helps employers hire and retain people with disabilities.
- Employers have several ways to engage for free
- Employers may list vacancies on the RWA jobs board and receive referrals of pre-screened, job-ready candidates who have completed pre-apprenticeship soft skills training
- Employers may also upskill existing workers by moving them into registered apprenticeships
- Employers may also use IWSI America as the registered apprenticeship sponsor, allowing them to launch a program quickly without the administrative burden or regulatory red tape
Career Launchpad (CLP) is a workforce readiness program for high school juniors and seniors with disabilities, delivered in partnership with the California Department of Rehabilitation.
- Employers give high school juniors and seniors with disabilities the opportunity for short, paid work placement
- IWSI covers all payroll, insurance, and administrative work
- Employers provide only the workplace and supervision
- Students receive career coaching, job readiness training, and up to 100 hours of paid work experience all at no cost to the employer
- Available in Los Angeles, Imperial, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties
- CLP makes it easy for employers to give students a chance while helping build the next generation of talent
