Experience a weekend where creativity and movement come together in Spokane!

This Vision to Victory Weekend focuses on the Arts and Sports industries through real-world internship pathways with Amerability and EQ Records.
Participants will explore accessible music production, sound engineering, and music management combined with adaptive sports management and tournament assistant director roles.
Students can then apply on-the-job interviewing and other skills they’ve learned to gain summer internships with Amerability, US Blind Tennis Association, and EQ Records.
Workshop Highlights
Participants in this workshop will have many opportunities to learn and prepare for future internship and career opportunities.
• Earn a 12-week internship in music, sport and business!
• Gain pre-internship work experience and training in music, sport, and business.
• Investigate how to be successful in your potential internship in the featured industries.
• Boost your on-the-job learning through professional mentoring.
• Learn to self-advocate in interviews by discussing your strengths and weaknesses with confidence.
About Amerability
Amerability is a leading vendor within Washington, Oregon, and Nevada that provides superior workshop experiences creating strong and significant outcomes for participants. CEO Murray Elbourn leads all workshops with partners including Microsoft, EQ Records, and the U.S. Blind Tennis Association.
Murray has been a Paralympic athlete, world championship coach, and a CEO of multiple companies. He has lived experience with current scarring on both corneas and previous cataracts in both eyes. Murray uses ZoomText and had learned braille, so he understands the challenges students with blindness and low vision face.

COSTS
All Amerability workshops are free for DSB clients aged 14–22 with Blindness and /or Low Vision who have a Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) plan.
