You asked we answered!! This is a 9-Ball tournament just like our 8-Ball tournament.
This tournament WILL NOT be reported to or ran through APA scoring so no handicap movement!!!
Tournament will be all 9-Ball and will use the APA scoresheet and point system for each match
5-Man Teams can be made up from any of the local leagues. Each player can only be on 1 team! You can bring a 6th player for an extra $100
Handicap max for this tournament is 25 using APA 9-Ball. You can only have 2 players 6 or above. (You MUST pre-pay to lock in your handicaps). If you play in more than 1 area, we will use your highest handicap. You must be part of an APA league for this tournament there is no conversion chart. If you only play 8-Ball check with the tournament director for your 9-Ball handicap (All handicaps will be confirmed by tournament directors, have a question please reach out to them, also have a junior player please reach out to TR’s for their handicap)
You can not have more than 2 players handicaps move up, and even with movement you can still only have 2 6's and above on your roster the day of the tournament.
Registration starts at 5:00 PM Friday night Calcutta to start at 5:30 sharp so make sure to have someone there, and play will start at 6:00 PM Friday night
We will do 2 rounds Friday night starting at 6pm, then return Saturday to start at 9am, and then start time Sunday will be between 9am and 11am depending on where we are at in the tournament.
20 TEAM MAX (could possibly go to 24 if we get enough interest) - We will play on 2 tables each match till towards the end so we can keep the tournament DOUBLE ELIMINATION
Cost is $500 per team plus calcutta
Empire will also add $$$ to the prize fund. With full field of 20 team they will add $2000!!! This will make for a $12000 prize pot with 20 teams plus Calcutta!!
Payout top 25% of field
All Diamond tables!! Split quarters
We will also start a second chance scotch doubles tournament that Saturday for those that can’t play all weekend or get knocked out. I will make a separate event with more info to come on that!
