We are so excited to share with the community that the Empire State Winter Games - a 30-sport competition hosted in Lake Placid will be performing a pre- torch ceremony at McCann Ice Arena.Known as the largest Olympic- style winter sporting event in the Northeast, the Empire State Winter Games (ESWG) is a community-driven event, courtesy of a partnership between the Adirondack Sports Council, the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) and the New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA).
On February 2nd through 5th, nine figure skaters will be representing McCann Ice Arena and Dutchess Figure Skating Club at the Empire State Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York.
This event kicks off with a 700-mile Torch Relay, ending in Lake Placid for the Empire State Winter Games Opening Ceremony.
McCann Ice Arena is a proud stop on the Empire State Winter Games Torch Relay. Join us on Tuesday, January 31st at 3:15pm at McCann Ice Arena for a Torch Ceremony and a performance from our very own McCann figure skaters.

The nine figure skaters that will be representing McCann Ice Arena and Dutchess Figure Skating Club at the 2023 Empire State Winter Games are: Alexa Brittell (Preliminary Girls Free Skate), Kaitlyn Brittell (Intermediate Plus Women Excel), Alexa Czumak (Pre-Preliminary Girls Excel), Abigail DiMartino (Preliminary Plus Girls Excel), Jocelyn Melore (Pre-Juvenile Plus Girls Excel), Cali Roloson (Junior Women Excel), Sadi Roloson (Intermediate Plus Women Excel), Kyla Trainor (Pre-Preliminary Girls Excel), Addison Welch (Preliminary Girls Excel)
