Course Introduction

We will introduce ourselves and explain what we will cover in the workshop, and participants will present their personal objectives for such a workshop.

Defining Empathy

It beings with participants considering empathy and putting themselves in the shoes of others; literally. They’ll be invited to share how their understanding of empathy has influenced those around them.

Prioritising Empathy

In this session we will explore uncovering the empathic qualities that can shape a climate and help you to achieve a result. So, what is it that you are going to try? How would that make the difference?

Listening for Connection

Participants will learn listening skills that enable more satisfying responsiveness and connection. Participants will leave with an array of listening tools that allow them to ‘talk themselves out’ of rocky emotional reactions and build relationships that last.

Forms of Empathy- Understanding It

In this session, participants will explore the different of cognitive empathy and emotional empathy.

Mastering Effective Empathy

Now people will help each other to learn the skill of trying to understand where others are coming from and becoming better at questions and listening.

Stakeholder motivations

Participants will be exploring techniques of how to create deep relationship! It isn’t about pleasant conversation with customers and co-workers. It is about a real understanding about their needs. Let’s see how that happens.

Expressing empathy in the absence of personal interest

Over the course of this session, participants will explore strategies to be more empathetic and thoughtful for those around them.

Conclusion of the workshop
