EMOM Plymouth 2026 | Electronic Open Mic Night | Cosmic Kitchen
Join us on Tuesday 20th October for a night of 100% LIVE performances, powered entirely by hardware — no laptops, no backing tracks, just synths, sequencers, samplers, and a lot of patch cables. This Electronic Music Open Mic brings together familiar faces and complete newcomers for an evening that spans ambient soundscapes, techno, IDM and Electronica, and everything that lives in the cracks between genres and sound.
Hosted at Cosmic Kitchen (home of Cosmic Sessions), this is a night built around one simple idea: give people a welcoming space to plug in and share what they've been working on. Whether you've spent months developing a custom Eurorack patch or you're bringing your first drum machine out of the bedroom, there are 20 min slots available or just come along to chat and hang out.
Expect a genuinely varied bill — expansive ambient pieces unfolding through patching and texture, hard-hitting 4x4 grooves sequenced live, groovebox jams, and whatever else our performers can coax out of their gear. This is live performance in its rawest form: knobs get turned, patches get mispatched, mistakes encouraged, more krell less AI and that's exactly the point.
Confirmed for the night: Headcell, Sonorous Bosch, The Common Viper and Subvext — with the rest of the bill open to whoever gets in touch or turns up ready to play.
