THEY DIE (Post-Punk, Italy)
They Die is a musical trio that gravitates toward the gothic world, with sounds of the early '80s dawn of the genre revisited in a contemporary key.
The project is inspired by the atmosphere of the alternative discos of those years, reworked in the decadence of our days, oboe swivels repeating, like a mantra, the duality of love-death, seen and interpreted as the apex of an existence lived in abandonment.
Their debut album Deviant Love, released in January 2021 by Jetglow Recordings, enjoyed considerable success thanks to the two critically-acclaimed leading singles "That Flame Goes Out" and "Sick Boy":
A year and a half later, their second album Emptiness Prevails, released on the renowned label Swiss Dark Nights, with 10 tracks, including two singles released as video clips: “Single Frame” and "Black Moon."
Members:
Simone Scarani: Composer, producer, vocals and lyrics
(First Black Pope, Templebeat)
Massimiliano Griggio: Guitars (First Black Pope)
Giorgio Ricci: Keyboards (Templebeat, First Black Pope)
