Emmaus Road 2025 Women's Retreat: Finding Joy in the Wilderness

Join the women of Emmaus Road Church for a 3-day retreat at the Table in the Wilderness Christian Camp in Centennial, WY.

The theme is: Finding Joy in the Wilderness. In times of trial, can you really experience joy?

We have an exciting agenda including worship, bible study, indoor & outdoor activities, community building, and more.

Worship & Bible Study

We have a keynote speaker who will deliver our message, we are seeking women who would like to share their testimony, and we will be breaking into small groups to help build relationships & share prayer requests.

Activities

• Outdoors, we have several activities facilitated by the team at the Table in the Wilderness including, team building ropes courses, nature walks, hiking, and campfires.
• Indoors, we have puzzles, crafts, and more.

Meals

The Table in the Wilderness team will be serving 5 meals during the retreat (included in your registration):

• Fri - dinner
• Sat - breakfast, lunch, dinner
• Sunday - dinner

*You can let us know if you have a dietary restriction in the registration form.

Weather

October in Centennial can be unpredictable.Typical October temperatures average high of 53°F to an average low of 29°F.

Be prepared for either rain or snow, though major accumulations are uncommon. The first significant snowfall of the season typically arrives in October or November.

What to pack

• Given the unpredictable conditions, it's wise to pack layers and be prepared for both chilly and potentially snowy weather.
• Layered clothing: Include sweaters, a warm jacket, and long and/or insulated pants.
• Footwear: Wear warm, waterproof boots suitable for walking and hiking on potentially cold or wet ground.
• Accessories: Bring a warm hat, gloves, and a scarf, especially for evenings.
• Study items: Bible, Notebook, Pen
• Hydration: Water bottle
• Cabin Accommodations: Shower Towel, Pillow, Sleeping Bag

Accomodations

The rustic, bunkhouse-style cabins at Table in the Wilderness are heated and have shared bathrooms (toilets & shower) separate from the bedrooms. While all cabins include a queen-size bed (with a fitted sheet) and bunkbeds with small mattress pads, there is no bedding supplied so sleeping bags and pillows are essential. Towels for drying off after a shower are also essential. If someone forgets or doesn’t have any of these items, Table in the Wilderness has a small inventory of items that we would love to share.

Everyone is required to sign their release form. There will be multiple reminders in the registration process with opportunities to sign the form.
