About this Event
Hear leading international curator and our Creative New Zealand Te Manu Ka Tau international guest Maria Lind introduce their curatorial work through the lens of the Artspace Aotearoa 2026 question “which history?”.
Lind will focus on the various ways in which time is an important factor in her curatorial and institutional work. She will discuss the retrospective exhibition with Christine Borland at Kunstverein Munich, which extended across two years and took place in different locations depending on the nature of the work in question. She will also focus on the multi-year inquiry on art, solidarity movements and the quest for social justice at Tensta konsthall in Stockholm and The Benevolent Food, dealing with art, food and the environment, which has just been kicked off at Kin Museum of Contemporary Art in Kiruna.
This kaupapa is presented with Creative New Zealand Toi o Aotearoa and association with Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and Te Ahurei Toi o Tamaki Auckland Arts Festival.
