About this Event
Target audience
Healthcare professionals and emergency responders involved in disaster and emergency management (doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, public health officials, law enforcement officers, and frontline workers).
Description
Emergo tabletop simulation is a learning and simulation tool used to test and evaluate emergency or disaster response plans. The tool can be adapted to any disaster scenario or context. Its mission is to train instructors who can design and facilitate Emergo tabletop simulations in their environment, thereby improving teams' preparedness to respond to emergency situations.
** Table-top simulation materials are not included in the training. With the Emergo instructor certification, participants will be able to order starter kits to design activities in their own environment.
Learning objectives
After completing the course, participants will be able to plan, design, facilitate, and evaluate an Emergo tabletop simulation activity.
Other
Lunch and beverages are included for the 3 days of training for external participants.
A minimum of 15 participants is required for the training to take place.
A maximum of 6 places per training date is reserved for CHUM employees. Lunch and beverages are not included for internal participants.
CHUM employees can reserve lunches and beverages for the 3 days of training at their own expense by selecting the CHUM Employee - Lunches and Beverages Included ticket type. These fees are non-refundable.
