Dyke Affair & two queer photographers in conversation on art, identity, and creative expression in contemporary Ireland.
About this Event

This Emerging Queer Creatives discussion, facilitated by Dyke Affair, brings together two emerging queer photographers for a conversation on art, identity, and creative expression in contemporary Ireland. Expect an intimate discussion on process, community, and the importance of queer perspectives in today’s cultural landscape.

About the artists:

Ewan Power is an emerging Irish visual artist and photographer, with a BA in Fine Art Media from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Through diaristic analogue practices his work exists as an intimate portrait of the people, places and surroundings that make up an experience of living as a young queer person in contemporary Ireland. His work is informed largely by personal experiences with grief and loss and is a uniquely tender portrayal of both a personal life and a community at large.

Inés Pesado is a Spanish photographer and visual artist based in Dublin. Moving beyond traditional documentary observation, her practice is rooted in active exchange, exploring themes of care, intimacy, and queer experience through fluid, non-linear narratives. After completing a BA in Photographic Media at Griffith College Dublin (2025), she is currently undertaking a year-long artist residency at Photo Museum Ireland as one of the recipients of the museum’s Early Career Artist Award 2025–26.
