Emergency Preparedness: Are you Ready?

Emergencies can happen anytime, but preparedness doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. The City of Mississauga’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) explores how to strengthen readiness while building more connected, resilient communities. Participants will learn about local risks that can impact the city, reflect on everyday ways to feel more confident and capable, and consider how resilience grows through relationships and shared responsibility. The workshop aims to inspire small, meaningful actions that can ripple outward and make a real difference when it matters most.

The event will take place on Tuesday, May 12th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Ecosource Community Climate Hub. The workshop will be facilitated by Larissa Parekh, an Emergency Management Specialist at the City of Mississauga.

There will be a free giveaway for all those in attendance. A light lunch will be served after the presentation.

This event is part of the Climate Connections monthly workshops series, aimed at increasing awareness of climate issues for community members.
