This course is a 100-hour traditional EMR course intended for those who want to be First Responders in local agencies. Schedules will be provided on the first night of class. Students will learn the basics of emergency medical care from life-threatening medical conditions to major traumatic injuries; from adult patients to pediatrics. this course includes the American Heart Association's BLS/CPR certification, logistical operations of ems, and basic anatomy/physiology. you will finish with a foundation of and the ability to provide the basics of emergency healthcare.
PREREQUISITES:
- 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course.
- Completion of a 10th Grade Written Educational Reading Level Assessment (To be completed by all candidates at orientation)
