Emerge East returns for its 4th year on Saturday 6th of September 2025 to Barking Riverside.This free festival is a celebration of community, creativity and nature, and offers an exciting day out discovering one of East London’s newest neighbourhoods.
What's On?
Expect a full lineup of music, food, art and wellbeing, including well-known DJs and an immersive art experience to be announced in August.
Experience culinary delights with ‘A Taste of Barking Riverside - The Home Cooks’ where local people become street food vendors for a day, sharing their beloved family recipes or trialling a new yet perfected dish for a lunchtime crowd.
SaunaMasterUK, in collaboration with Community Sauna Baths, will bring the Wild Riverside Sauna from Hackney and Stratford to one of East London’s most idyllic locations. Be sure to grab a ticket to enjoy the revitalising benefits of deep heat, cold contrast, and soothing steam, all while overlooking the iconic River Thames.
The event will also feature creative workshops for the whole family, an independent Emerging Makers’ Market showcasing local talent and thriving businesses, and a variety of food, drink, performances, walks, talks, wellness workshops, music, and more.

There are various public transport links accessible to guests, including:
🚌 EL1 and EL3 buses to Station Square.
🛥️ Uber Boat by Thames Clippers service to Barking Riverside Pier.
🚅 Overground Suffragette Line from Gospel Oak. Barking Riverside is a 7-minute train journey from Barking station which is connected to the District, Hammersmith & City and C2C lines. Barking Riverside is also a 22-minute train journey to Blackhorse Road station which is connected to the Victoria line.
Accessibility: Station Square is fully wheelchair accessible. Blue Badge Disabled Parking is available at the Project Office.
