Join us for a free family-friendly LGBTQ+ Vendor Fair, Pride Walk, and more to celebrate pride month and create a safe space for all LGBTQ+ people and allies. Participate in our Silent Auction and Pride Raffle to win fun prizes like t-shirts, vacation stays, tattoos, and more! See full schedule below. There’s a playground, restrooms/water fountains, and access to the Gulf. Feel free to park in the parking lots to the west, north, and east of the park. Feel free to bring a beach chair or blanket to sit on, as well as sunscreen and liquids to stay hydrated.
The event will be centered at the Big Pavilion in Liza Jackson Park, 338 Miracle Strip Parkway, Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Please note that the events will have security to ensure a safe time for all.
Schedule:
7:00am -- Setup
8:00am -- Vendor Fair, Silent Auction, and Pride Raffle with DJ and food trucks (around the Big Pavilion): this will continue until 2:00pm.
9:00am -- Sponsorship recognition and event agenda review
9:20am -- Pride Walk inspirational speech by Dr. David Simmons, the President of PFLAG Niceville
9:30am -- Pride Walk: from Liza Jackson Park to Sound Park (where there will be Mom Hugs and free water) and back to Liza Jackson.
10:30am -- Open Mic Time (Big Pavilion): feel free to share your story with us
1:00pm: Silent Auction and Pride Raffle winners announced
2:00pm -- Clean up
Pride Walk Notes:
Bring LGBTQ+ flags and hand-made signs to wave as we walk.
We’ll march both directions on the sidewalk on the south side of Miracle Strip Parkway (about 1 mile there and 1 mile back).
Those with mobility issues are warmly welcomed to join us for whatever part you want; we also need volunteers to help pass out water at Sound Park.
