💚 Romance writers, this one’s for you! 💚Join us in the heart of the Emerald City for the Emerald City Romance Reader Event, happening Saturday, June 13, 2026, at South Seattle College in the Brockey Student Building (JMB)!
Spend the day surrounded by fellow romance authors, passionate readers, and the electric energy of a community that lives for love stories. Whether you're a seasoned bestselling author or just starting to build your audience, this is your chance to:

​The college is ADA compliant and we are on the bottom floor/single story building. The north entrance of the JMB building is flat and straight in, the other entrance (south) has stairs and a ramp to descend to the room entrance height. Building is located in the middle of campus. Campus map can be downloaded here. There are several bathrooms located throughout the building. During official Author/Vendor registration, a place will be provided to request accommodations.

​Registration options: Full Table with PA add-on and Half Table options (black table cloth included in both options).
Registration includes:
- Parking fees
- Lunch with a non-alcoholic beverage
- Coffee
- Authors and Vendors access to onsite Wifi
Full table ($165):
- Full Tables are 8ftx18in (long and narrow)
- Black tablecloth
- LUNCH is included - selection will be provided after the new year
- Optional PA add-on during registration (required for any assistants)
​Half table ($140): Note: Half tables are shared tables with another author or vendor attending the event.
- Half Table are 4ftx18in (these tables are long and narrow)
- LUNCH included - selection will be provided after the new year
- Black tablecloth
(NO PA ADD ON for half tables)
Only Full Tables will be able to add a PA ($39) to their table due to size constraints with shared half tables.
The PA addition will need to be selected as an 'add on' during event registration.
Lunch options will be sent out after the new year, and are included in the cost of all registration types.
Author’s and vendor’s are required to comply with all state, county, and city taxes and laws.
Onsite Power availability:
There are occasional outlets on the location floor and along the walls. There isn't a guarantee that you'll be near a power source if you need one. Please plan accordingly.
An Author Snapshot Collection Book ($15 per Pseudonym) (6x9 physical book) is available to those authors interested in having the first 3 chapters (or less if required to meet other standards and requirements) into the 2026 Author Collection Book. NOTE: preludes/intros may be considered a chapter depending on lenght.
ECRW will not be editing any content, however formatting may be changed to fit within the print requirements. This is merely a snapshot of the author's work at our event that we're providing as a perk to VIP admissions and anyone in GA that would like to opt into a copy.
ECRW does not retain any rights to the Author content as they belong solely to the author &/or publisher. Any content supplied by the author/vendor is meant only for the inclusion in the events collections book.
A buy-in of $15 during registration is needed to help pay for any formating or cover art that may be required. You may include multiple pen names within the book but each pen name requires its own buy in.
We will need the following pages:
- Title
- Copyright page
- Acknowledgements
- Chapter content
- Author backpage with socials and a QR code if possible (we will add on if not available)
The Collection's material can be published or unpublished work, but as a reminder, no editing will be done on the content you provide. If you select this option during registration, we will reach out to you for the required works.
Please ensure you have the rights to share your content inside the collection book.
This Collection Book will only be available in print, and included in the VIP tickets, and offered to GA during registration.
We will email you for content for the Collection when you opt-in, however any works turned in after the print cut-off date will not be included in the Collection and no refund will be issues.


Reader Admission Details:
VIP admission: $50 (limited number sold (75))
General admission: $25 (current cap at 175)
Wristbands will be provided to those who register, and we’ll have monitors at the doors confirming paid entrance. Price includes the cost of parking.
A signature full color reader booklet (either 5” x 7.5” Manga size or 5.5” x 8.5”) will be provided for readers during this event including a list of the names of all the attending authors. There will be spaces inside the front cover, internal pages, inside the back cover, and on the back cover to advertise on. We will also include blank signature pages.
The Collection Book (6x9) will be provided to VIP tickets and available for purchase by GA. See above for details.
A Reader Tote (roughly 13"x13"x4) will be provided to VIP tickets and available for purchase by GA.

Author Swag
We currently have 75 VIP tickets available for purchase. If you would like to include exclusive swag for these tickets, please ensure contents is delivered a month before the event to the address provided in post registration emails or can be added by authors the day before the event during setup stages.
NOTE: Event volunteers will not be unable to help with stuffing bags the day before or day of the event.

Video Recordings/Excerpts:
Like last year, we'll be requesting a 1 minute video of promoting yourself and your genres. This is not a requirement, but is a fun way to share who you are and what you write to attendees before the event.
