The EMDR+Music Integrated Model: Using Music as an Interweave in EMDR with Cassandra Manning, MA, MSc, EMDR Consultant & Integrative PsychotherapistA warm welcome awaits in Liverpool, a city famous for its world-wide musical influence, where Cassandra Manning will present her EMDR+Music Integrated Model, a pioneering approach that weaves pre-recorded music into all eight phases of the EMDR Standard Protocol.
Rooted in her background as an opera singer and with 15 years of training and clinical psychotherapy experience—including an MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy, an MSc in Adolescent Psychotherapy, and training in the Guided Imagery and Music Continuum—Cassandra has developed the EMDR+Music Integrated Model: a practice that fuses intuitive, creative process with the clinical rigour of EMDR.
Music is fast emerging as a powerful agent in the current therapeutic zeitgeist. With ongoing research into the integration of EMDR and music in Canada and Israel—and one study already published (Grifani et al., 2023)—this workshop will explore how music can enrich the therapeutic relationship, act as a co-therapist, and help clients feel more resourced and connected throughout all phases of EMDR.
