Embroidery Workshop

Join us for an afternoon learning embroidery. We'll provide tea, coffee & biscuits and all the sewing materials you need to learn the basics of embroidery or improve your skills.

You could try out embroidering a line drawing of your own design (or follow along with one of ours), play with geometric blackwork techniques, or simply learn how to hand-work your initials. We’ll provide fabric for you to sew on, but you could also bring a garment, or cushion cover, or any other fabric of your choice along to embellish.

• Workshop to be held in our studio, in Thames-Side Studios, SE18 5NR
• We’ll be providing small pieces of fabric, embroidery yarn, hoops & other embroidery tools.
• Run by Veryan (a tailor, with over ten years sewing experience).
• Feel free to bring snacks, but drop us a line if you have any allergies, so we can do our best to accommodate you.
• This is a social event so come along whatever your skill level to embroider anything you like!

Bike: Thames River cycle path (16 mins cycle from Greenwich).

Bus: 161 / 177 / 180 / 472 to Warspite Road bus stop.

DLR: Woolwich Arsenal (1 minute walk to Plumstead Road and take Route Bus 177 towards Peckham Bus Station or 472 towards North Greenwich Station).

Road: A2 corridor, first roundabout east of Thames Barrier onto Warspite Road. Free on-site parking.

Train: From Cannon Street or London Bridge to Woolwich Dockyard (8 minute walk) or Charlton (12 minute walk).
