Embroidery Crash Course

Embroidery doesn’t have to be hard! In this Crash Course, you’ll learn everything  I wish I had been told the first time  I picked up an embroidery hoop. During the first half, we will be going over topics like choosing your supplies, the essential tools to get started, how to set yourself up for success, and learn/practice the 6 basic stitches on scrap fabric.

In the second half, participants will work on their own Feral Sampler (provided on Stick n’ Stitch) using the stitches we learned in the first half. Please note: it is not expected that you finish your sampler during the class time! The goal is to leave this workshop with the foundational skills and confidence to finish your sampler on your own time. Embroidery by its very nature is a slow craft, and is a great way to unwind.

Key Features:

• Small group setting! (10 participants max) So each participant can get the help they need.
• 6 Stitches Taught: straight / running stitch, backstitch, split stitch, satin stitch, French knots, lazy daisy
• The Feral Sampler - an easy way to learn your stitches that will also serve as a reference tool for your later embroideries.
• Skill Level- Perfect for beginners, but all levels welcome. Ages 18 and older.

Pricing Transparency. Total Cost, $65

• Class Fee: $50 covers 3 hours of group instruction and 1 hour of optional stitching time in the venue.
• Materials Fee: $15 This covers the costs of fabric, stick n’ stitch Feral Sampler pattern design, 2 needles, embroidery floss, and a 6” bamboo hoop, all of which you will take home to finish your samplers.
  Note: You must attend the workshop to receive your kit/materials.

Cancellations & Refunds

• By purchasing this item, you are reserving your spot in a very limited class. Please note that $20 of the registration cost is non-refundable in the event of your written cancellation (by text or email) prior to the event start. Please allow 3 business days after confirmation of your cancellation for the refund to be initiated.
• No shows/no contact by class start will not be eligible for a refund. Exceptions may be made in a case-by-case basis, so please feel free to reach out and we’ll see what we can do.
