Embroidered Portraits for Everyone

If you've always admired embroidery, but wanted to create something special, and not from a kit, join me for Embroidered Portraits for Everyone. In this in-depth workshop, I'll take you step-by-step through the process of stitching a portrait from a photo of your own.

I’ll work with you on selecting the perfect photo, creating a line drawing and transferring the design. Then, after a lunch break, you'll get started stitching. I'll provide all materials and you’ll take home a stitch guide and finishing instructions.

Don't know how to draw? Perfect! I developed this workshop with you in mind.

This is a beginner friendly workshop, but I recommend that you know how to thread a needle and make a stitch.

After signing up, I'll reach out to ask for 3 photos that you’re considering for this project. I'll need these photos in advance to prepare for the workshop.

For this full day workshop, I’ll also serve a light lunch during a break.

About Me: Jamie Maloney is a life-long crafter, who first learned embroidery as a child, working on counted cross-stitch with her mom. She continues to follow the family tradition of craft and fiber art with her embroidery. She brings an attention to detail and texture, while adding meaning and story-telling into her pieces. She shares her award-winning skills with beginners getting started and more experienced stitchers refining their technique.
