About this Event
Embracing Vulnerability with Assent within The R.E.A.L. Model™: Connection and Communication
Please join us for a free BACB 1.5 CEU in ethics! Where we will review behavior analytic methodology in the context of ethical assent based practices. Ensuring an environment for a child to learn and prepared to learn will be discussed. In addition, this training will cover the R.E.A.L. Model™ and its use in identifying when assent is given and withdrawn across different trainers, situations, time and throughout treatment. We will focus on bringing the private event of vulnerability into the public in order for behavior analysts to provide compassionate care to those clients and families they serve in order to maintain and regain child’s assent. Participants will be introduced to The R.E.A.L. Model (Terzich-Garland, 2020) with the emphasis on connecting with the real person, making a real connection in the real community.
