Shayna “Askanke” Marie: Shayna will share works inspired by her time in the classroom, where moments where grief, rage, and hope collide. Shayna finds inspiration in her students’ raw questions and revolutionary wonderings, and her work reflects the heavy inheritance we carry—and the radical imagination we must pass on.
GF Korreck: G.F. Korreck's poetry exploits the irony of present-day political narcissism, bigotry, greed, and blatant disregard for humanity.
Linda Nemec Foster: The Inaugural Poet Laureate of Grand Rapids will read poems that reflect her trips to Eastern Europe: she was invited to teach in Poland and present her work with Polish and Ukrainian colleagues who know the horrors of war, dictators, and the threat of authoritarian governments.
