Why is talking about sex important?
"Because sexual health is a part of the overall health of most people, it is vital to engage thoughtful discussion without shaming or dehumanizing an individual. Sexuality is such a fundamental aspect of human existence, that to alienate oneself from one’s own innate being is to sever an essential aspect of a person’s humanity. This encompasses our emotional, physical and interpersonal connections. The significance of this extends to the belief that access to appropriate sexual healthcare and education is a matter of social justice and human rights. The ability to live authentically is an affirmation of our inherent value as human beings. Rather than demonizing and censoring sexuality, it is far healthier to explore it with thoughtful positivity, consent and care."
