In Cuyahoga County, black mothers are 2.5 times more likely to die from a pregnancy related cause than white mothers, and black infants are 4.6 times more likely to die than white infants. Join Renovare Music for an immersive experience of instrumental music, poetry, narratives, and original Documentary Songs written collaboratively with members of our community who know these realities first hand.
This hour-long performance will be followed by a panel discussion to help us reflect, discuss, and respond to the testimonies we have heard. Come be inspired to embrace and support flourishing for all our neighbors.
Guest artists include poet “Vision” (Nailah Muhammad), and vocalists Salina Turner and Fred Clark.
Our panelists will include:
- Leah Ross, Executive Director of New City Cleveland
- Marie Jones, Director of Community Health Initiatives at the Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI); Embrace Songwriter
- Trevelle Harp, Executive Director at NLI
