About this Event
In our last session of the series, we'll discuss ways to approach and structure new projects and get them off the ground with tools at the Entrepreneurship Center and beyond. As usual, we'll also watch a video from "Time Has Told Me" to anchor our conversations, and finish by sharing concrete resources available to library patrons.
ABOUT
“Time Has Told Me” is a series of almost twenty interview-videos with some of the most brilliant artists and cultural workers of Rhode Island. As an invaluable testimony of local creative entrepreneurship, the series offers insight and experiences directly from creators who work fiercely through different approaches. This project was created with support from the Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism and the Rhode Island Council on the Arts.
Hernán Joubá (he/him) is an Argentinean-born producer and director of art projects that has been working in Providence over the last decade to co-create festivals, community gatherings, workshop series, and cultural programming. He’s the founder of the Ministry of Future Access, a platform dedicated to creating access to collective learning opportunities through artistic practices. Together with the Community Libraries of Providence, he has established a brand-new residency program called “Art in the Neighborhood” –allocating material and structural resources to the service of local artists generating socially-engaged creative processes.
