Kamal’s journey with yoga began at an early age, shaped by vivid memories of watching his father practice asana and pranayama as part of his daily routine. Over the years, he has explored the many expressions of yoga in different spaces across Australia, Malaysia, and India. More recently, Kamal has undertaken a deeper study of yoga and its philosophy with Rishikesh-based embodied movement pioneer Parveen Nair. Kamal is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher and is currently nurturing a practice that weaves together a lifelong passion for the creative arts with a deep interest in science and spirituality.
Kamal will be supported by Dr Dhanya Thurairajah, his sister.
Dr. Dhanya Thurairajah is a medical doctor, performing artist, and wellbeing practitioner whose work bridges the worlds of medicine, movement, sound, and contemplative practice.
