Ember Charter Schools Annual Strawberry Picking / Family Day

We are super excited to announce the return of Strawberry Picking/Family Day at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm, on Saturday, June 4, 2022. We have limited seating on the bus and we will be securing seats on a first come, first serve basis. The cost is $12.00 per person (ages 1 and up). Included in that price is the cost of the bus, a hayride, a quart of strawberries for adults, and a pint for children. You will also have the opportunity to pick a fresh vegetable that is available. In addition, there will be food trucks on the grounds for purchasing, as well as live music and Tomasello wine tasting available at an additional charge. As always, the farm will be giving us access to open space and land to utilize, so please bring your blankets, picnic chair(s), radio, etc. Please be sure to pack lunch and snacks for the day. We will not be providing lunch for this event. Your seats will be secured once we receive confirmation from Eventbrite. All purchases must be made via Eventbrite, starting Thursday April 7th 2022. The deadline to purchase tickets on Eventbrite is by Friday May 13, 2022. This is not a school chaperoned trip; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Remember that this is a peaceful family gathering to help build relationships and community between the families within our ecosystem.

We will meet at the main entrance of the Quincy Campus (616 Quincy Street.) promptly at 8:00am. Please be on time to ensure that you and your child does not get left behind. If you are interested in driving, you can make your purchase online, and meet us on the morning of at the Quincy campus to pick up your wristbands to enter the farm, as it may be difficult to locate us once all buses arrive to the farm. We will be leaving at 8:00 am SHARP.
