Emancipation Day commemorates the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire on August 1, 1834, while recognizing the resilience, achievements, and lasting contributions of people of African descent. It is a day to reflect on our shared history, celebrate our present, and invest in a future rooted in equity, creativity, and community.
Whether you're coming with family, friends, or on your own, this vibrant summer celebration offers something for everyone.
