June 27th, 2026 in Stockton, CA - EMAC is hosting a BBQ stick competition as a fundraiser for our organization’s critical work in advocating for immigrant rights and building power for a safer, thriving Southeast Asian community in Stockton. This will be the first competition of its kind in the 209 area! Join us for a family-friendly, flavorful community event where you can sample competing entries and help us decide which BBQ stick reigns supreme. Participating contestants will be competing for the best version of a BBQ stick that highlgihts Southeast Asian flavors. There will be one winner selected by a panel of judges as "Best BBQ Stick" and another winner chosen by YOU and other attendees as the "fan favorite"!
The BBQ stick entries will be judged based four criteria:
- Taste/Flavor
- Texture
- Appearance
- Creativity
