Elysium Theatre - Secondary Teacher's Forum

Elysium Theatre welcomes North East based Secondary School teachers to our Teachers Forum event.

This event is for Secondary School, Academy staff and FE/6th Form teachers based in the North East. We welcome subject teachers, HOD's, SLT and staff with responsibilities for arts, literacy and culture.

We want to get to know how best to work with you to improve student experience, engage more young people and align our work with your needs and priorities. We are also keen to know how best to get opportunties out to you, and what barrriers you face getting involved in cultural trips, workshops and activities.

The event will take place between 6pm - 7:15pm at Alignton House (close to Assembly Rooms, Durham city centre)

You will receive complimentary refreshments and buffet snacks, as well as a free ticket to our production of Othello at The Assembly Rooms Theatre, Durham afterwards - which starts at 7:30pm.

Elysium Theatre Company is an award-winning, independent theatre company based in Durham. We tour regularly across the North, including Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and Cumbria, with a special focus on the North East. In Summer 2022, we launched our Engagement programme, working regularly with schools and community groups in the North-East to enrich our artistic offer for participants of all ages. In September 2024 we are launching our new production of Shakespeare's Othello, touring across the north of England.
