Elysium Theatre welcomes local primary school teachers to our Primary Forum...

Elysium Theatre Company is an award-winning, independent theatre company based in Durham. We tour regularly across the North, including Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and Cumbria, with a special focus on the North East. In Summer 2022, we launched our Engagement programme, working regularly with schools and community groups in the North-East to enrich our artistic offer with participants of all ages. In September 2024 we are launching our new production of Shakespeare's Othello, touring across the north of England.

We are constantly striving to improve the work we deliver with schools each year, and are welcoming representatives from primary schools and multi-trust academies to Alington House (DH1 3ET) to attend our Primary Forum, giving us the chance to get to know local partners, understand how our provision can support teachers in accordance with the national curriculum, and share our own opportunities with you.

The event will take place between 6pm - 7:15pm. Those in attendance will receive a complimentary buffet, as well as a free ticket to our production of Othello at The Assembly Rooms Theatre, Durham, commencing 7:30pm - 10:30pm that evening.
