From house parties & raves to clubs and multiple festival appearances, DJ Sivart hasn't stopped for nearly 20 years. Usually offering eclectic sets incorporating such genres as House, Breaks, Drum & Bass, Hip Hop, Moombahton, Metal and Punk rock. His father, a local DJ, often brought him to Peaches Records, trusting his ear for the latest hits. With only MTV and a single radio station, he developed a deep appreciation for all genres early on. By the '90s, bass music, breakbeats, and 808s ruled his world. He wired up speakers just to feel the house shake.A move to West Virginia exposed him to skate culture, live music, and underground dance scenes. While his friends took to turntables, he picked up a guitar and absorbed new sounds—drum and bass, trance, acid house—expanding beyond the Miami bass roots he knew.After spinning on friends' setups at parties, he eventually bought his own gear and started playing local events. His first true rave, Summer Solstice ‘99, left a lasting impression. But it wasn’t until 2015 that DJ Journie committed to the craft. When a close friend passed in 2019, what began as a shared passion became a tribute—a way to honor their bond through music.Named after his daughter, DJ Journie sees music as a path of transformation, memory, and connection.
