Dirk & Riki are a brother, sister duo who live 1200 miles apart but come together to make music. They both struggle with disabilities, Riki (sister) is the vocalist who has a stutter but when she sings the melody comes out beautifully. Dirk (brother) is a self taught one handed guitar player due to 4 strokes he suffered at the age of three causing him to lose use of his left arm. The duo writes originals and adds their own twist to covers.

Blockhouse Valley is the songwriting and creative project of husband and wife duo Ashleigh and Cody Cooper. Starting off performing re-imagined versions of popular songs they moved into writing their own music that blends the grit and heart of their Appalachian / Midwest upbringings with modern relevance. From their first EP (2023) to their most recent full-length album It’s Alright (2025), they continue to craft songs that bear the weight of Midwest existential thoughts, paired with the sounds of Appalachian roots, and always tempered with a sense of hope or humor. Their eclectic original music and refreshing interpretations of old favorites keep festival and listening room crowds alike engaged from the first chord to the last.

The Stray is a music and arts cafe located in Grand Rapids, MI. In addition to our craft beer, coffee and wine selection, our kitchen will be open serving our full dinner menu until 9pm! Get here early to snag your favorite seat and grab a bite to eat before the show begins. This show is free to attend, but you can support artists through tips.
The Stray curates a listening room style venue, where performers are front and center, not background entertainment. We frequently ask attendees to silence their phones and keep conversations low out of respect to performers and other audience members.
