UFOs sighted over MalmesburyOver the last few weeks, seemingly out of the blue, unusual activity was reported in the skies above Malmesbury and across the border.
There has been much speculation as to the origin of this strange magic – but we can now confirm we have made contact with the Mothership.
The exciting news is that they want to dock here in Malmesbury on Saturday 8th March - using our Town Hall as an intergalactic spaceport.
To celebrate the Long Players (now to be known as ELP) will perform ELO’s Out of the Blue in its entirety, followed by a set of the legendary Brummie band’s greatest hits, including Telephone Line, Evil Woman and Livin’ Thing.
Malmesbury’s Long Players are a collective of more than 40 local musicians who have, over the last 12 years, recreated 27 classic albums live.
This will be amongst their most epic and ambitious undertakings yet.
For one night only, Malmesbury Town Hall will be transformed into an intergalactic spaceport, with the gig itself taking place in space onboard the Mothership as we ride into another dimension.
As a member of the audience, you are expected to dress appropriately.
You must turn up ready for space travel, or come as an alien. This is essential.
Tickets go on sale this Sunday (26th January). Previous LPs gigs have sold out within 12 hours so don’t hang about.
