The 13th Ellison’s Dan promotion is being held on the 14th December 2025 and in preparation we are hosting our usual pre-Dan promotion seminar on the 23rd November 2025.
Note: PreDan is open to any grade from Red Belt.
The seminar covers all aspects of the Dan promotion test. Payment can be made on the day or ahead of time if paying by bank transfer, and costs £40. If paying by bank transfer please use your name/your child’s name as a reference. Unfortunately, due to previous experience, we will need you to provide a screenshot on the day showing the transfer of funds if you wish to pay this way.
In order to provide the best teaching and opportunities for development we can, attendance and successful completion of the seminar is compulsory for candidates who wish to apply for the Dan grading however all students from red belt and above are welcome to attend.
Candidates are required to bring their own body armour to the seminar. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the grading room on their promotion test if their armour does not meet requirements, so it’s a good idea to check armour you do have still fits, especially in the case of growing children! If you are unsure what the requirements are, please ask Master Ellison.
We will no longer be accepting paper application forms for the grading; all applications must be made using the online form that can be accessed by the QR that will be posted both in this event and the main Grading event. All forms must be completed in advance of the Pre-DAN and validated on the day of the PreDAN.

All candidates need to have TCON membership, in addition to British Taekwondo membership; full details are given on the application form but please ask Master Ellison if you have any questions.
