ELLIS PAUL
Ellis Paul, a Maine native and Boston College alum, is a singer-songwriter inspired by Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Woody Guthrie. Known for turning human experiences into evocative music, he gained recognition after winning the Boston Acoustic Underground songwriter competition. His indie album "Say Something" led to a seven-album deal with Rounder Records. His songs have appeared in films like "Me, Myself, and Irene" and have been covered by artists such as Sugarland. Paul has released 23 albums and received numerous awards, including the Kerrville New Folk Award and the 2019 NERFA Album of the Year. His latest album, "55," addresses gratitude during challenging times.
ANTJE DUVEKOT
Born in Germany and raised in the US, Antje Duvekot draws on her bicultural experience in her music. Influenced by Dar Williams and Ani DiFranco, her four studio albums feature collaborations with notable artists and producers. Duvekot has toured extensively, performing at festivals like Newport Folk Festival and Celtic Connections in Scotland. She has won prestigious songwriting awards, including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. Besides music, she works as an animator and participates in humanitarian projects with Let Yourself Trust.
