Join pianist, songwriter, and author Elliot Sneider for a special evening celebrating the release of his new book and companion album, Don't Borrow Trouble. The project brings together storytelling in two forms, written and musical, exploring themes of resilience, reflection, and the human tendency to worry about tomorrow instead of living in today. Sneider’s piano-driven songs and thoughtful narratives combine for an evening that moves seamlessly between music and story.
The event will feature live performances from the new album, readings from the book, and insights into the creative process behind this unique dual release. The music was recorded in Nashville in 2023 and released under Sneider’s project Merciful
TRVLR.
Vinyl copies of the album and physical copies of the book will be available at the event.

Merciful TRVLR is a musical project by Elliot Sneider that blends jazz, improvisation, and storytelling into a deeply human, collaborative experience. Rooted in the idea that no performance is ever truly solo, the music invites both musicians and audiences into a shared journey shaped by spontaneity, memory, and connection. Drawing from diverse traditions, Merciful TRVLR creates performances that are intimate, exploratory, and quietly optimistic. Everyone’s story, sound, and soul matters.
Elliot Sneider is a pianist, composer, and improviser whose work blends jazz tradition with personal storytelling. He has performed with a wide range of local artists including Vanessa Vacanti, My Cousin Tone, and his own project, Merciful TRVLR. Sneider performs regularly both nationally and internationally with Michael Arenella’s Dreamland Orchestra, and has toured his solo show My Brother George, exploring the music of George Gershwin. His playing emphasizes deep listening, spontaneity, and the belief that music is a shared, living conversation.
